We the youth of St Charbel's parish in Punchbowl SYDNEY strive to be followers of St Charbel. Through the spiritual nourishment and guidance of the monks with the Lebanese Maronite Order, the St Charbels Youth Association aims to serve the youth of our parish through the organisation of both spiritual and social events. Like St Charbel, the youth committee aim to promote our faith through social interaction and spiritual reflection. Through the guidance of the Lebanese Maronite Order, we are encouraged to look to our Maronite faith for understanding, guidance,compassion, forgiveness and love. The youth committee aim to address the issues concerning our youth.
• Youth Chaplain- Father Joseph Sleiman
- Our youth chaplain is Father Joseph Sleiman, a monk with the Lebanese Maronite Order. Father Joseph Sleiman became our youth chaplain in September 2007, after returning from Lebanon. Our Youth Chaplain is responsible for administrating the Executive Committee and guiding us in our faith.
• Coordinator- Charbel Taouk
- Co-ordinates and organises both spiritual and social events held throughout the year and liaison with the Priests. The president is responsible for overseeing all sub-committees within the Saint Charbel's Youth Association.
• Vice Coordinator- Charbel Azzi
- Assists the President with co-ordination and organisation of both spiritual and social events and co-ordinates people to help with these events.
• Treasurer- Christine Lahood
- Responsible for the financials of the SCYA and also helps with the organization of all events.
• Spiritual Coordinator- Michael Sandrussi
- Organises the spiritual activities throughout the year and assists the President with organising these activities.
• Social Coordinator- Jamilli Rawdah
- Social event requires great deal of organization in terms of preparations, advertising the event, coordinating people, and running the event according to scheduled timeframes.
• Secretary:- Jamilli Lahood
- Assists the president, records minutes of SCYA meetings, maintains documentation, schedules events and assists in the organization of all activities throughout the year
• Guardians Coordinator: - Charbel Raish
- Responsible for the preparation of bible studies classes, guardians talks and faith education seminars within the parish.
